A Plan For You

Have you ever tried to put together something without using the instructions? What happens? Many times you end up with extra pieces or parts to your project. The instructions and supply list are there for a reason. You use all the pieces provided, put them together in the proper order and your project will be complete. This is what God’s Word is for our lives. It is His perfect plan for each and every one of us. Every concern, every issue, every question in life can be answered from God’s perfect plan… His Word. Have you ever tried to walk in the dark in an unknown place? You bump into things, probably stub your toes on items. Why? Because there is no light. Psalm 119:105 says “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” We have to go to our light source, the Word of God, to find our direction for life.

Like many people around me, I have tried to find my place in this world on my own. I have held many jobs but none of them have been my calling in life. Now God’s plan for your life is not His plan for my life. And His plan for my life is not yours. We as believers are commissioned to find out His plan for our lives. I know I am not called to lead praise and worship. I know I am not called to travel to foreign lands. But I am called to proclaim the good news of my Lord Jesus Christ within my community and to anyone who will listen. In fact, this is the only thing that each and every one of us are jointly called to do! Mark 16:15 says, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” When we got saved, that was not the end of our journey… it was the beginning!

Have you ever tried to go somewhere and needed directions? In olden days, we would get a paper map. We still need one today but now we Google it to get directions. So what do I do to find God’s plan or direction for my life? Get into His Word. 2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Daily I have endeavoured to read my Bible and study to find God’s plan for my life. I have purposed in my heart to show myself approved in His Word. The more I study, the more I learn about myself. The more I study, the more I learn about My Father in Heaven and what He has provided for me. The more I study, the more I find that I can not do this life on my own, I can only do it with Him

I challenge you, my brothers and sisters, to get into God’s Word and find your place in the body of Christ. We have a job to do and it will take all of us to complete. I truly believe that there is another great awakening coming to our land. This great awakening will be a precursor to Christ’s return. Find your place in His plans to reach our community, our country, and our world.

Follow His Plan,
