It's in the Cloud...
/It’s In The Cloud…
It is no secret that technology and I have never been the greatest of friends. I lovingly joke that Andy is around to keep me and technology running smoothly. I have fully admitted that I don’t understand much of today's technology. And with it changing almost on a daily basis, it is rather hard to keep up with it all. One term that everyone has heard but may not understand is “The Cloud.” Now for a basic definition, it’s a big storage place for information. Many may know how to store something to “The Cloud” but have no idea how to gain access to this information after it’s been put there. I want to connect the cloud to our faith.
Let’s take a little journey through scripture. Romans 12:3 says that through grace God has given every man the measure of faith. When you become a believer in Christ, you do so by faith. It’s by faith we believe that Christ died for our sins, that by His stripes we were healed, and that He has forgiven our sins and remembers them no more. In Jesus Christ is where our faith lies.
Now to continue in scripture, Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” Faith is like a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it becomes. If you go to the gym every day and just watch people exercising, you will not become stronger. You actually have to pick up the weights to gain strength. Our faith grows stronger when we continually hear and speak God’s word and puts action to our faith.
Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” We as believers have access to the unseen through our faith in Jesus Christ. In John 6:63 Jesus said, “the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life,” We have the power to speak life into our hopes and dreams because Jesus lives within us. We can access Jesus (the cloud) at any time for anything we could ask or think (Matt 7:7) as long it is aligned with God’s word.
I just want to encourage you today to speak to your mountain (Mark 11:23-24) and to speak Jesus’ favor over whatever you are facing. I recently heard a minister share a powerful statement: “Our faith does not fear, our faith is not weak. Our faith grows stronger, with every word we speak.” Reach out in faith and take hold of God’s promises for your life. The answer is there (in the cloud), you just have to take it by faith.
Love in our Lord,
