Hide and Seek

Remember when you were a kid, playing outside for hours on end all summer long? You’d go out after breakfast, check in sometime around lunch, go back out until dinner and then again until the lightning bugs came out. You and your siblings or neighbor kids would find some kind of adventure that would have you saving the world from whatever evils you could think of at the time. You could get so wrapped up in your adventures that time would stand still. I remember playing games like Mother May I, Tag and Hide and Seek.

Although we are mostly hidden away from each other right now, we are not hidden from God. He knows right where we are and He has His hands on his children. Matthew 6:33 says:

“seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.”

God the Father is waiting for us to reach out to Him. Yes, He knows our every need, every want and every desire. But he’s a Father, He still wants us to come to Him and seek a deeper relationship with Him. Matthew 7:7 says:

“ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it will be opened unto you.”

Our heavenly Father will always answer if you ask, He will show himself to you if you seek Him, and His door is always open to His children… if we knock. Hebrews 11:6 says:

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

If we are not seeking that deep intimate relationship with our heavenly Father, He can’t reward His children. It is our responsibility to walk and talk with Him, just like Adam and Eve did in the garden, each and every day. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says:

“If My people will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will heal their land.”

Brothers and sisters, if there was ever a time that we need God to heal our land, it is now. We can’t wait until we are physically together within the church walls to pray. We are all connected together thru the blood of Christ. Matthew 18:20 says:

“where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there with you.”

And today, through social media, we are connected while we are physically apart. So pray with me right now: “Father, we come to you now as your children. We ask you Lord to stop this virus that is sweeping across our land. We ask you for your hand of protection over our families and the doctors and nurses on the front lines. We thank you Lord for healing our land. And Lord, protect each and every person reading this today. We thank you for your hand of protection. In Jesus Name, Amen I love and miss my Lifepointe family. Looking forward to hugging you all real soon. Remember, you are not hidden from God and we are called to seek Him always.

Love you,

Susan Stricklin
