Peace With God
/“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Romans 5:1
In the long run this is the most important thing we can have in our lives: Peace With God!
Which, according to the verse above, has already been made available to us by faith through Jesus Christ. We could call this peace our “salvation peace”. If you don’t have it, it’s yours to receive: simply accepted by faith in Christ.
As the prophet Isaiah said concerning the Messiah as to how our peace with God came to be:
“But He, (Jesus the Messiah) was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; and the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:5
This is saying what Christ has done for us has become this peace between God and man. Peace between the Creator and all of humanity through the cross of Christ. It’s now simply a matter of personally receiving it by your believing in that good news. I can think of no greater position in life than to know one has received this peace with God. No need carrying a burden upon the soul in these difficult times when God’s love has made a way of casting that weight upon Him.
The other day I was reading a mini-book by minister Kenneth Hagin about faith. At the end of it, he included a prayer for salvation, which is how one can receive this peace with God; through faith and prayer. This peace with God through Christ means that God’s not mad at you, nor against you! How could He be when Christ has already accomplished this reconciliation of peace between you and God? Which is to say, it’s already a done deal, just receive it!
I’ve included this salvation prayer from that little book (at end of blog) which one can pray for themselves and then know without a doubt: “It Is Well With My Soul!” God loves you perhaps more than you know, so He has made it as simple as possible for one to have assurance of one’s salvation! Jesus said it best in the gospel of John:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
John 3:16-17 NIV

Salvation Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. Your Word says, "...whoever comes to me, I will never cast out". (John 6:37), so I know you won't cast me out, but you take me in and I thank you for it.
You said in Your Word, "whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13). I am calling on Your Name, so I know You have saved me now.
You also said, "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). I believe in my heart Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that He was raised from the dead for my justification, and I confess Him now as Lord.
Because Your Word says, "with the heart one believes unto righteousness," and I do believe with my heart, I have now become the righteousness of God in Christ.... And I am saved!
Thank you Lord!
